| okay, so here's the malysia update.
may 10, 2006
we arrived in malaysia at around 4 in the afternoon & we were all so tired!  so we went straight to the hotel & rested there. as in we didn't do anything for that day. i was so excited to find out that there was free internet connection in the hotel!  meaning, i could communicate with my friends.. & i could actually you know, tell them what was happening to me. hahaha. so there, i stayed in the hotel room. my parents went out for free cocktails so i had the computer all to myself that afternoon. i actually heard justin's voice cause he called the computer through yahoo messenger. too bad our laptop didn't have a mic. dad said i should've told him so he could've brought the headset or something. well, who was i to know?  so since it was our first night there, we had to have this big dinner in the coffee shop. we ordered a lot of dishes which were all so good. yumm!  it was something to keep my mind off the bad stuff.

on the second day, we had to get up early so we could catch the buffet breakfast in the coffee shop. after breakfast, i had my hair braided! thrilling!! haha. so cool. it was sort of the alicia keys style & my parents started to call me "peaches". what's up with that?  i asked them and they told me to research "peaches & herb" in the internet. so i did. it was this black girl who had her hair braided like mine. big deal. it was like 120 malaysian ringgit! so expensive! the exchange rate is about 14.50 & that's a lot of money already.  after that, i followed my family into the pool. we only stayed there. their pool was really nice. it was like the pool in westin philippine plaza with much bigger boulders in their pool. plus, it was really deep. like 2.2 meters deep. (just convert it to feet) haha. there were also submerged lounges on the pool where we could sun bathe. sort of the ones in shangri-la mactan in cebu. after about an hour on the pool, we transfered to the beach. it was like bora, only bora was better. their beach isn't that nice. but it also has powdery white sand which makes it a lot better. we saw a jelly fish! it was an icky looking creature. yuck. i lathered up on sun block & basked in the sun. when i walked down to the water, i saw that there were no waves!  so lame. haha. guess i couldnt go surfing. there's wind surfing but it's a little harder than surfing. i mean, i haven't even mastered surfing yet. we rested for about an hour & we went to the bar to get free cocktails. they were also serving fresh & chilled juices (so if ever you were wondering if i drank beer or wine, no i didn't. i drank fresh orange juice). there was also a wireless connection in the hotel, so that was an excuse to chat with justin too.

as usual, we had to get up early to catch the breakfast buffet. it was the same menu as yesterday's. (so imagine if you had to stay there for at least 12 days!) after breakfast, we went back to the room and rested for a while. we had to get ready cause we were going to the town then. so at around 12, we rode the shuttle going to the town & reached this mall called centerpointe at 1 pm. it was this mall that wasn't even better than greenhills! it was so hott!  and people who know me knows that i don't like it when it's hot. specially when sweat starts to run down my face.  i get really moody & i get really really harsh on people. i say things that i normally don't say so if it's a really hot day, don't talk to me that much (except when you have a fan & a friggin' arm that could make paypay non-stop.) mom went to the filipino market something and went shopping there. (as if she could find anything) while the rest of us, were stuck in this f*ckin hot mall with nothing to do. it was actually colder in tutuban mall! since it was past lunch, we bought something normal to eat. mc donald's. i just ordered large fries & an oreo mc flurry. it was like twice the size of the one sold here in the philippines. so even with just fries & that ice cream, i was really stuffed. that ice cream made my brain freeze! my little brother decided that he had to poop so we searched the whole mall for the toilet! we actually spent 10 minutes looking for that friggin' toilet where you had to pay 20 cents. unfortunately, the toilet was even worse than those here in the philippines. if you think the toilets here are the worst, you haven't gone to that mall. the smell! god. i thought i was going to die! so we had to pay 20 cents for nothing. my brother didn't even get to poop! and so, we met up with mom in burger king & decided to go to the hotel. after all, there was nothing to see. and how'd you know? my mom bought a miniature gong that doesn't even have a sound. huh. on the trip back to the hotel, i noticed that malaysia was a lot like the philippines. it was even a lot hotter & there was a lot of squatters! hahaha.

i was kind of excited when i woke up this morning cause it was our last day in malaysia. as usual, yes, we had to wake up early to catch the morning buffet. after eating, we went back to our hotel room so that we could get ready for our trip to the forest where we could see the baby orang utans. the staff reckoned that they were so cute and adorable and you know.. the like. i was actually very excited to see them! hahaha. so we had to go there at least 30 minutes before cause there were orientations.. and stuff like that. we saw a turkey first that my dad had mistaken for a peacock. hahaha. that was really funny cause there were these american people who actually corrected my dad. it was kind of embarrassing, really.  haha. so then, it was time for us to go up the "mountains" into the miniature forest where we could see those "man of the forest" creatures. it actually looked like a real forest and it was so tiring to go up there. i was sweating like crazy! and you know how i get when i perspire. when we got to the place, we only got to see the orang gutans from afar! and i actually thought that we were allowed to feed them or something. and it was actually boring cause we only stood there and watch the "not so adorable" monkeys swing from tree to tree. it was kinda boring. and they weren't as cute as they said it would be. it was kinda disappointing for me and to think that we actually had to pay 14 malaysian ringgit for me. i wanted to go back to the room after at least 15 minutes. it was kinda tiring for me just standing there looking up at the trees. after that, we got to swim in the pool for a short period of time and got to chat with the australian family that we were friends with. my little brother had met this girl who he was friends with and he called her "kisiya" (read as spelled). but then we heard her parents call her "charisa" (again, read as spelled.) so we started calling my little brother "chorizo". but when we asked her parents, it was actually "theresa". haha. we were laughing like crazy when we found out. i actually became friends with the little girl. haha. we learned that she was born and raised in china so she was a chinese citizen even though she looked so australian and she spoke german. haha. ayun. we also had lunch by the poolside which was actually our best lunch through out the whole trip even if it was just pizza and burgers and fries. it was actually something normal for us. so we enjoyed that meal. after eating, we found some lounge chairs near the beach where we could sun bathe. and so we did. i lathered up on sun block and basked in the sun. i actually had a nap there. i dreamt of something about justing and i but i forgot the whole story. when i woke up, my brother and i walked down the beach. i wrote my name and justin's name on the sad. i didn't get to take a picture of it cause my parents might tease me about it. and i sang a song called sunlight. haha.

it was our last day in malaysia. we just ate breakfast and then had our last walk around the resort. i was happy that we were going back home. but part of me was also sad cause we had to leave the adorable place, and the culture, and all the things that you could do. i haven't even tried wind surfing yet! 
part of me was kinda bummed. really. i promised myself that i would go back there. probably with our beach buddies. or with my friends. haha. that's gotta be a long time from now. so yes, we drove to the airport at 12 and got there at 1. we were scared cause it might not be safe since our flight was at 2:05. turns out, our flight was delayed until 2:50. bad trip yung airport kasi ang init talaga and i was only wearing shorts. plastic yung chairs so my legs was sticking to the chairs. 
and to think na grabe na nga yung dito e.
